We often think of God's power in the timeframe of the past: what He has done, both in the historic biblical context: the flood, the rescue of Israel from bondage through the Red Sea on dry ground, the plagues, the fall of Jericho and we think of how He has worked in our own personal past in some amazing way. Or, we may share a deep hope that God will act in our future in a powerful way to bring about an expectation or request.
These views may be very noble, but they fall far short of the true nature and reality of what Paul is outlining here. God’s power is “now” and God’s power is bringing about “his glory” at every minute of time. Listen today and discover the ways in which our perception falls far short of the true reality of God’s living, expressing power manifest from all time, now and until Christ comes – then it continues to be exerted in heaven throughout eternally.
